Students of the faculty of Tourism and Hospitality University of West London on internships, which helped them to find work

Faculty of tourism and hospitality is part of the University of West London, which in 2013 received the title of the most modern educational institutions of London. The University also recently won the Royal award – the Queen's Anniversary Prize for achievements in the hospitality industry. The prestigious award was presented by the Queen of England.

The faculty organizes students for internshipsduring which students get first hands-on experience in areas related to tourism.

Some of the graduates and faculty shared their impressions about how the process of learning organized in high school:

Oana Gorogteanu graduated this year, majoring in "Management in the field of air traffic and the operation of airports." She has still fresh memories of an eventful and interesting time spent at the University of West London: "I have just received a diploma and are under the impression of the graduation ceremony. Excellent training programme – I liked everything: the lectures, and people. I would recommend this course to anyone who is going to apply University knowledge in building a career. I use to practice everything I studied and now work in the aviation sector".

Gabriella Wilkinson this year has received a degree in "Hospitality management" and recommends that all his experience of education in the faculty of tourism and hospitality: "I got into University directly from school. While still in College, I went to job fairs organized by the University, and I managed to get the company in the field of hospitality. I have been working for two years. If I hadn't studied at University, I would never have got this job."

A student of the program "international management of hotels" Amy says Dragon: "Based on my experience in school "A-level" I didn't expect that I will be able to achieve such high results in performance – I was very surprised to receive the award of the University for academic achievements. I also won an internship at the hotel The Goring in London thanks to the good relations which the University of West London have established with them."

Prachi Metha, who is studying on a program in Culinary arts, were thrilled to meet with the legendary British chef and restaurateur: "Marco Pierre White is my idol and I really admire his work in the field of culinary arts. I had a dream to meet him, and the University of West London helping us to arrange such a meeting."

Paul Fidgeon, Professor, senior in the College course "Management in tourism and aviation", tells about the many examples of successful careers of graduates of the University: "the University of West London is located just 20 minutes from Heathrow airport, our main employer. In addition, it is 30 minutes from London – the city that attracts the maximum in the UK, the number of tourists. Our graduates occupy responsible positions in some of the largest British companies. For example, Vice-President of the cruise company Royal Caribbean have studied at our University. In the past year as part of a very prestigious programme of British airways to recruit the graduates of leading UK universities, several of our students were taken on my first job in this well-known company. Marketing Director Novotel was our student. The list is endless".
