Lomonosov Moscow State University ranked 30th in the prestigious Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings.
The University representative announced: «Lomonosov Moscow State University reaffirmed the highest quality of the teaching and research by ranking 30th among the best universities in the world according to the Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings».
THE world ranking was first published in 2011 and lists 100 world universities with the best reputation. More than 10 thousand scholars from 133 countries have been interviewed for the 2016 ranking. The average research experience of the interviewees was 18 years. University's position in the ranking is based on the number of times it was named the best in the field by the scholars.
Deputy-Vice- Chancellor of the MSU Victor Sadovnichy says: «Moscow State University has once again proven its status of Russia's leading university by implementing major research and infrastructure projects. These include the launch of Lomonosov satellite from the Vostochny Cosmodrome. The satellite is designed to explore extreme space phenomena in the Earth's atmosphere, near space and the Universe».
