The students of School of management, the University of York rich and interesting student life, and to share their experiences, a student gave us a small tour of the campus. Now we can see not only inside the University, and to attend several seminars, but also to learn more about how students are engaged outside the classroom.

In recent years, School of management, the University of York (York Management School) actively develops and increases the number of students. Despite this, the University has managed to maintain a friendly team, motivating and intimate atmosphere.

The scientific staff of the School are active in research and regularly publish work in international journals in various disciplines, including: personnel management, history of business, social entrepreneurship, international marketing, theory of organizations, risks, and gender studies. According to the system of certification of quality of scientific research in the UK "Research Excellence Framework" for 2014, most of the research staff of the School has been rated "world-leading" and "relevant international standards".

The University cooperates with enterprises and regularly invites leaders to conduct guest lectures and seminars. During the course students will have all the knowledge and skills necessary for further professional growth in the workplace, and with continued training in a magistracy and postgraduate study.

The School consists of five areas: accounting and Finance; human resource management; international enterprises and strategy; marketing and international business; operations management and theory of organizations.

All undergraduate degree programs of the University offer additional training lasting for one year. Students learn to apply in practice the acquired knowledge that improves job prospects.

Graduates successfully build careers in organizations around the world. Especially popular are the following sectors:

  • accounting and Finance, including the "big four" (Ernst & Young, PWC, Deloitte and KPMG in the UK, Hong Kong and Shanghai);
  • investment banking (in London, Europe and Hong Kong);
  • state-owned enterprises — local governments, police, education authorities and health;
  • small and medium-sized enterprises (various positions in the operations division and personnel management).
