1. Pepperdine University - Malibu, Calif

2. University of Hawai at Manoa

4. University of Virginia

Today the idea of Jefferson can be traced in the majestic style of the palladium architecture, the design of the rotunda, the design of which is inspired by the Roman Pantheon. 5. Princeton University


One of the oldest in America, grey stone campus of Princeton University is located in the small town of Princeton, with a population of about 30 thousand inhabitants. The campus is spread over an area of two kilometers. Most of the buildings on its picturesque site was created by world-famous architects in the late XIX — early XX centuries; their style is mostly neo-Gothic. The highlight of the campus the Princeton University chapel is the third largest in the world. In addition to old historical buildings on campus presents the work of famous masters of the XX century, such as Frank Gehry, Yu Ming Peh and Rafael viñoly.

6. Harvard University

10. Stanford University


Stanford University is relatively young. Built in 1891, railroad magnate and former California Governor Leland Stanford, the University was named in honor of his son who died of typhoid before the age of 16 years. Located near the city of Palo Alto, in the heart of the famous Silicon valley, the Stanford campus, which felt motifs of Byzantine architecture, with the latest science and technology.
