The procedure of entering Scottish higher education institutions is no different from going to English universities. Applying for undergraduate is done through national service UCAS, and master's and postgraduate degrees – directly through the faculties.

In Scotland, preparatory courses for foreign students, organized in colleges of further education Scottish international training programme the Scottish International Foundation Programme – SIFP, created on the basis of the University of Glasgow. The program has a standard 12 months, and accelerated -9 months, modes. Those students who know English very well (at least 6.5 IELTS score), may be prepared for 2.5 months of the summer and in September to go to University of Glasgow. Admission to master's programs in business may require the examination results of the GMAT or GRE. All applicants will need to demonstrate knowledge of the English language.
