A unique program of professional development from the University of Aston

Professional Development Programme (Professional Development Programme) is an integral and compulsory part of every master program of the business school of Aston University. Professional Development Programme (PDP) aimed at the development of practical skills and continues throughout the year in parallel with the training for Your chosen master program.

Qualified professionals for career development will help students to identify and develop those skills that will be needed for successful employment. You will find many workshops and trainings, as well as the opportunity to undergo paid training in one of the British companies or the chance to study abroad at one of partner universities of the University of Aston.

The main result of the program - an individual portfolio of skills that allow students to demonstrate their acquired competencies. Therefore, the business school of Aston University helps its students become in demand in the labor market specialists with brilliant skills and international mobility.

You can undergo a Professional Development Programme in two ways:

  • Within 12 months

Students complete a PDP in parallel with the training for the selected program magistrature. That is, participation in master-classes and workshops held after classes in the chosen specialty, and short-term study abroad, work on the project at a real company or taking short internships take place during the writing of the final dissertation.

  • Within 18 months

This option gives students more time, so they can go longer internship (up to 6 months) in the UK or abroad or to study a semester on exchange at one of the foreign universities. Please note foreign students that Aston University will provide visa sponsorship Tier 4 for 18 months (that is, visa will cover the training in partner University or internship).
