In Outlook of universities for 2013, published a Sunday edition of the Times, the University of Exeter named University of the year. Exeter also recognized as the best University for teaching quality in the Southeast of England.
For the first time the University of Exeter was ranked as the top 10 universities according to the version of The Sunday Times University Guide in 2012. In 2013, the year of the selection algorithm for the best University of the year has given greater than previously, the weight of the responses of the students and success of graduates in getting work. Over the past ten years the University of Exeter was four times nominated for the title of best University of the year in the 2013 year received the highest prize.
Deputy Dean of the University, Professor sir Steve Smith, said: "This highly prestigious award reflects the hard and dedicated work of all teachers and students. It was a phenomenal year for the University – the University was accepted into the group of leading research universities RussellGroup, entered the 200 best universities around the world, and the new building of the campus cost of £ 50 million was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Get the title of best University of the year is a real achievement."
The following 2013-14 school year students will use the new dorms and academic buildings, and new equipment, the total cost of which amounted to 380 million pounds.
