Scholarships University of Roehampton for the 2016-17 academic year

University of Roehampton is celebrating this year its 175th anniversary. The University allocates about 80 million pounds on upgrading the campus, which is considered the best and most beautiful in London. Students have excellent opportunities to live and study in the financial capital of the world.

For students enrolling in years 2016/17, provides the following scholarships.

Chancellor's international scholarship

The scholarship is awarded automatically to all international undergraduate students 2016/17 year, the results of study which meet the requirements listed in the table.

Scholarships graduate

Discount for University graduates wishing to continue their education

Discount is available to all foreign students who previously graduated from Roehampton and decided to continue education in any of the programs of post-graduate education.

The discount is calculated automatically and its size is 20% of selected program of education.

Chancellor's international scholarship

The scholarship is awarded automatically to all foreign graduate students from 2016/17 year, the results of study which meet the requirements listed in the table.

Scholarship Sacred Heart (Sacred Heart)

The University of Roehampton and the Society of the "Sacred Heart" jointly approved a scholarship for students in the research programs of postgraduate education in the fields of promoting international understanding. The scholarship is designed to help students to work effectively in local communities after graduation.

The scholarship is awarded to international students of the research master's programmes (MPhil and PhD only), collectively demonstrated the following qualities:

great academic results or a rich life experience;
willingness to contribute to the development of communities;
ability to establish international understanding and desire to work in local communities after graduation;
proved that without the scholarship they are not able to undergo training.

The scholarship amount: 100% refund of tuition and assistance with payment. This scholarship is awarded for a maximum period of 3 years for programs with a full academic load, and 5 years for programs under load.

Scholarship For International Excellence

The purpose of the scholarship is to attract more foreign students in accordance with the current strategy of the University. At Roehampton there are 10 scholarships with a size of 6000 pounds.

Funds are granted for a period of 1 year in the form of a discount from the cost of the program.

The application for scholarship is submitted online and need to send an essay of about 500 words, which should reflect the following points:

to demonstrate high academic performance in school;
show enthusiasm for the chosen subject;
to talk about what contribution you expect to make to the University community;
explain how the scholarship will help you financially.

The deadline for submission of applications is 31 March 2016. The decision on granting scholarships will be accepted until may 31, 2016.

Music scholarship

The scholarship allows musically talented students to offset some of the costs associated with attendance at courses and music lessons, organized by the University, or with the purchase of musical equipment (instruments, strings, music, etc.). In return, the students commit to promote the development of cultural life of the University, and to participate in events organized by the faculty administration.

The scholarship is up to £ 1,200, provided in the form of cash.

The scholarship is available to students of all majors and is awarded to students who:

will contribute to the development of music at Roehampton;
ready to cooperate with other musicians of the University;
during your studies you will take part in planned cultural activities of the faculty, and in University productions (with the exception of those that are organized abroad).

In the application for scholarships is required to submit:

justification for why you deserve the scholarship and how you plan to use the funds received;
CV about your musical achievements;
the entry with the statement (instrument or vocal).

The scholarship for sporting success

Roehampton provides students with excellent opportunities to play sports. The University administration was fully aware of the difficulties in combining study with intensive training. The University offers sports scholarships and a functioning infrastructure to unlock the potential of students in academics and sports.

Scholarships are available to all Roehampton students who showed outstanding athletic performance, and include the following forms of financial support:

scholarships that range in size from 500 to 1500 pounds per year;
additional financial assistance for the effective combination of study and sport;
membership in the fitness club ROEActive.

Applications for the scholarship must submit no later than 30 September 2016.
