National student survey admitted student dormitories of the University of Lancaster (near Manchester) the best in the country. Award "Best student hostel" is awarded to schools whose students are most satisfied with the living conditions.

A national survey of students annually examines the quality of living conditions of students in higher education institutions across the UK. The survey measures the degree of student satisfaction with accommodation in the University, private hostels and private rented accommodation.

Universities, students who participate in the survey can compare their performance with national and regional. In the 2010 study involved more than 10,000 respondents from 120 universities and colleges. In the category "the Best experience in student living," was awarded the Scottish town of Stirling, and the award for "Best private hostel" has received BRANDEAUX/Liberty Living.
