After the BBC report about fraud in the conduct of the TOEFL test, Immigration-the Border service, the UK Border Agency (UKBA) has adopted the decision on suspension of the agreement with the company ETS, provides test-taking TOEIC and TOEFL. These tests are no longer accepted by the UKBA when applying for educational or immigration visa in the UK. In this regard, many universities in the UK suspend the admission tests TOEFL from foreign students. Education Index strongly advises all students entering the universities in the UK and planning to take the TOEFL test, to consider alternative tests such as IELTS or Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) in order to avoid difficulties with getting a student visa.
