Student life

The St. Paul campus is home to most undergraduate students. The main campus, built on a farm site once considered "far removed from town" is located where St. Paul's Summit Avenue meets the Mississippi River.

The site was farmed by ex-Fort Snelling soldier William Finn who received the property as a pension settlement after he accidentally shot himself in the hand while on guard duty. This part of campus includes the Anderson Student Center, the O'Shaughnessy Library, the Anderson Athletic and Recreational Center, the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas and several residence halls.

The St. Paul south campus, situated west of Cretin Avenue and south of Summit Avenue, is the site of two residence halls, the Frey Science and Engineering Center, Brady Educational Center, Anderson Parking Facility, McCarthy Gymnasium, the Facilities and Design Center and the Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity. The western edge of the south campus borders the Mississippi Gorge Regional Park.

There are a lot of on campus activities from movies to music. There is also a free shuttle that transporting students downtown Minneapolis. Students can find places to eat and things to do down there.

St. Thomas is located between St. Paul and Minneapolis allowing for limitless opportunities in the cities. On campus, organizations provide a lot of exciting events including comedy acts, magicians, movie nights, and dueling pianos. There is always a game of ultimate Frisbee going on in the quad and people are very welcoming. Down the street, there is also the Mississippi River for those who like quiet or just need to get away from all the noise.

Accommodation

All freshmen residents are required to have a meal plan. Living on campus provides students the opportunity to become part of a dynamic community. This community includes students who have different backgrounds, lifestyles, interests and dreams.
