English language proficiency requirements

• Direct entry: International students require an IELTS 6.5 or equivalent for direct entry into most academic programs. (Some exemptions apply.)
• Conditional admission: International students who do not have an English test score, or who still need to improve their English skills, may be accepted into an undergraduate program on the condition that they will complete full-time English Language training at UNB before starting their degree.

Country specific admission requirements

• UNB accepts qualified applicants from all countries. Applicants must have completed their national high school curriculum or equivalent.
• Certificate of Complete General Education/Unified State Examination grades 4 or 5.
  

Postgraduate

English language proficiency requirements

The normal method for demonstrating English competence is through completion of the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language — TOEFL (minimum score of 550), including the Test of Written English — TWE (minimum score 4.0) or IELTS Minimum score of band 7.
