UNB invites you to come experience Canada’s beautiful East Coast, where the cost of living is low and the quality of life is very high. Known for its friendly people and its emphasis on community, New Brunswick is an ideal place for students seeking a world-class education in a small, secure, and culturally vibrant part of Canada.
Getting involved at the University of New Brunswick's Fredericton campus is easy with more than 70 clubs and societies on campus. From dancing and debating to rock climbing and scuba diving, there's a recreational or cultural activity for everyone. For those interested in exploring their journalistic side, UNB Fredericton has both a student newspaper and radio station.
UNB Fredericton has 14 residences including traditional and suite-style accommodations. First-year students do better academically, socially and in every way when they live in residence. If you are in your third year, beginning a second degree, or are a mature student, you have several options:
International students are eligible to work on or off campus for up to 20 hours per week while they are registered as full-time students. Paid co-op internships are also available in many programs.
International graduates may also be eligible to stay and work in New Brunswick, subject to provincial and federal regulations.
Within the Career Development and Employment Centre students will find the Career Resource Centre. The Career Resource Centre is a library of resources to help you research career and employment possibilities. The library contains materials which provide information on what you can do with your degree/major, specific occupational information, online resources, job search, interview skills, and resume and cover letter resources along with resources to help you in making a career decision.
At UNB, you can choose between two beautiful, distinctly different campuses. The Fredericton campus is located in New Brunswick’s capital city, while the Saint John campus is located in the province’s largest city. Fredericton and Saint John are both safe, clean environments in which to study, work, and play.
