Kansas State University

The main campus of Kansas State University in Manhattan now covers 2.70 km2. The campus is very historic, featuring more buildings built before 1910. Holtz Hall built in 1876 is the oldest free-standing building on campus. 

Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus provides a small campus atmosphere with a professional learning environment built on theory, research and industry application in the classroom. 

K-State is home to the Biosecurity Research Institute, where students can train to research infectious diseases and the Landon Lecture Series which has hosted many prestigious speakers, including five former U.S. presidents. 

The university is also home to several museums, including the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art, the KSU Historic Costume and Textiles Museum, the K-State Insect Zoo, and the Chang, Chapman and Kemper galleries, which feature faculty and student artwork. 

The university also offers an annual cycle of performance art at McCain Auditorium, including concerts, plays and dance.

K-State students can join more than 450 organizations, dozens of fraternities and sororities, and student government. It is also easy to have fun on campus by visiting the school's golf course, insect museum, dairy bar and gardens. Student athletes at K-state can play at the recreational level or try out for one of the many K-State Wildcats varsity sports teams, which compete in the NCAA Division I Big 12 Conference.

In addition, the city of Manhattan was ranked the No. 1 college town in the nation by Livability.com in 2015 and for good reason. Whether a student wants live music, endless dining options or outdoor adventures, they will find excellent fit in "The Little Apple."

On-campus housing and dining services organization provides an affordable, safe and engaging living environment for Kansas students to complement the academic and social demands of their college experience. It is no wonder the majority of K-State students live on campus their freshman year.

K-State has twelve residence halls on campus. On-campus options for students also include a number of fraternities and sororities, which are are values-based organizations dedicated to making students better men and women. Chapter houses surround the campus, and all are within walking distance. 

The Kansas State University Career Center facilitates the career readiness of all students throughout the K-State community. The Career Center offers an extensive career library, free assessments for exploring major/careers, job search training, career advising, employer connections, and a staff dedicated to assisting students in the career development process.
