Student life

Fordham has three main campuses, which are located in and around New York City: Rose Hill in the Bronx, Lincoln Center in Manhattan, and Westchester in West Harrison. In addition, it maintains and utilizes various academic, extracurricular and residential facilities throughout New York City and New York State and around the world. 

Fordham operates the Louis Calder Center, a biological field station 30 miles (50 km) north of New York City in Armonk, New York. It consists of 114 acres (0.46 km2) forested with a 40,000 m2 lake and 19 buildings. The structures house laboratories and classrooms, offices for faculty and administrators, a library and residences.

Besides, the university's facilities include housing and dining options, recreation center, sports and many others.

Fordham sponsors over 200 clubs and organizations for its undergraduate and graduate students, of which about 100 are based at the Rose Hill campus and the rest are based at the Lincoln Center and Westchester campuses.

However, there are no any Greek letter fraternities or sororities. Councils of the Knights of Columbus, the national Catholic service fraternity for men, and its sister organization, the Columbiettes, are hosted on campus. In addition, Fordham sponsors a chapter of Pershing Rifles, the national military fraternity.

The university has its own student-run award-winning newspaper called The Observer, while The Ram is the university's journal of record, and the paper, which is a student-run free-speech publication.

Besides, the New York city is one of the world’s recreation and shopping centers. There are always fun things to do in the Bronx. Students can check out the Botanical Garden, The Bronx Zoo, Bronx River Art Center, Bronx Museum of the Arts etc. The city is only 20 minutes away on the D train. 

Accommodation

Student housing is guaranteed for four years for students at both Rose Hill and Lincoln Center; housing options include dorm-style single, double, and triple rooms, as well as apartments and suites.

Most graduate students live off-campus, either in Manhattan or in other boroughs of New York City or in New Jersey. An excellent public transportation network makes it easy to travel into and within New York City. 

Students also use a range of other web-based services such as Craigslist, Street Easy or Airbnb to locate housing.

Career services

84% of students are employed, freelancing, or continuing their education six months after graduation in 2016. Among top employers are such world-known companies as Sony Music Entertainment, Societe Generale, JPMorgan Chase & Co.,Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Citigroup Inc.

Annual starting salary of Fordham graduates is about $55,000. Graduates’ leading industries are Financial Services, Media and Communications, Arts, Leisure, and Entertainment.
