ANU students make up the majority of the University population and are responsible for the majority of the campus's use of resources. Through small changes to everyday activities, students have a real opportunity to make the University greener. The challenge is to do this without compromising students' enjoyment of university and, of course, their learning.
ANU has a diverse range of support services, programs, and activities to enhance your student experience and help you succeed at university, including clubs, communities and volunteering. The ANU Library collection holds more than 2.5 million physical items and provides access to more than 6.3 million electronic resources including full text journal articles. The collection is distributed across five branches by subject basis and can be accessed by searching the Library catalogue, e-journal and e-resources database.
For environmental enthusiasts, and those seeking an environment-related career, there are plenty of opportunities to get practical experience in greening the campus including internships and workshops that can be included on your CV and count towards you degree.
ANU offers a broad range of accommodation choices for students, within a diverse and vibrant community.
When selecting residents ANU runs an auto-allocation process, setting parameters based on demographics, an equal number of males/females, an even split of domestic and international students, mixing up the countries which our international students are from and then look for a diverse range of programs the students are studying.
