Master's students complete a selection of taught modules (100 credits) and a dissertation (80 credits); compulsory modules (90 credits) may include: introduction to flood risk management; meteorology, flood hydrology and climate change; data and information: capture, retrieval and analysis; flood estimation and modelling; options for flood risk management; real-time flood forecasting and warning systems; flood management governance, planning and project appraisal; asset management of flood defences and dams; coastal flood risk; students then choose another module (10 credits) from either sustainability and water resources or catchment and river modelling; diploma students complete a selection of taught modules (80 credits) and a dissertation (40 credits).
