Living on campus is the best way to make the most of your experience at MSU. When you live on, you have plenty of choices for your living environment and activities.

  • Alcohol-free halls, floors or rooms are spaces in which residents agree that alcoholic beverages will not be brought into the area, even by persons 21 years of age or older.
  • All residence halls and apartments are campus are smoke-free. Smoking is prohibited in any Residential or apartment space. Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of the building’s entrances, outdoor air intakes, and operable windows, decks or balconies. We realize that some students are allergic to smoke and we do our best to assign students of the same smoking preference together.

  • Flexible housing allows undergraduate and graduate students to select their roommate without regard to gender.
