Student life

Emory's students, faculty and staff create a welcoming and enterprising community. Hundreds of student clubs and organizations operate on Emory's campus. These include numerous student government, special interest, and service organizations. Students may engage in the performing and fine arts, athletics or media activity as an area of academic study or as extracurricular activities.


New students may get some fun out of various sports teams, and tourist destinations like the Georgia Aquarium, Coke Museum, CNN Center, and Centennial Park. The High Museum has College Night Out very often, inviting local students to come for a night of art and mingling. Aside from destinations, Emory itself has a huge selection of clubs and activities to join.


Accommodation

Emory residence Life and Housing Operations maintains more than 20 residence halls. About three in four undergraduates, including all first- and second-year students, live in campus housing, fostering a sense of community and involvement in college life.


The Office of Residence Life & Housing provides students with a variety of housing options including theme halls, single rooms, double rooms, gender-inclusive housing, suite-style, and full apartments for one, two, three, and four people.


100% of first-year students and 64% of all undergraduates living in college housing. Besides, all residential students must participate in an Emory Dining meal plan presented by several choices to accommodate a range of dietary needs and preferences.


Career services

90% of students are employed, freelancing, or continuing their education six months after graduation in 2016. The Emory Career Fair serves as a great educational and pre-recruitment tool, providing employers with an opportunity to network with Emory’s talented undergraduates, building invaluable relationships on campus. Among the companies that employ NU students are companies such as National Institutes of Health, IBM, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, and Amazon.
