University of Salford, BSc (Hons), Product Design
Level 1: Students are introduced to the range of core design skills that are required by undertaking studio-based design projects; this will be supported by study of materials and manufacturing technology, product visualisation, business and marketing. Level 2: Students will undertake a number of in-depth projects, exploring product design from a user, cultural and manufacturing perspective; students will study subjects such as new product development, 3-dimensional computer modelling, model making and product prototyping. Level 3: Students will complete a dissertation and two major design projects, one of which will be self-directed and tailored to their chosen career.
