Media production is designed to develop students’ production skills in media writing and video production in the context of a conventional industry model; it is of particular interest to media studies students who would like to undertake a practical component to enhance and develop their theoretical understanding of the media; students consider real world issues such as audience needs and effective team working whilst engaging on production activity that emulates professional practices; this may include working with performing arts students, setting up focus groups or pitching project ideas to a panel of tutors and professional film-makers.
