University of Brighton, BSc (Hons), Analytical Chemistry with Business
Analytical chemistry: Chemistry and analysis form the backbone of the degree; the taught material ranges from fundamental concepts to the latest research techniques and includes both theoretical and practical aspects; experimental design, data handling and modern instrumental techniques are studied alongside traditional organic, inorganic and physical chemistry; the final year includes a laboratory-based research project. Business: The business theme includes modules in marketing, accountancy and economics, alongside an integrative organisational behaviour module; final year case studies are used to give practical insights into new business development; throughout the course both themes are supported by mathematical and study skills modules.
