Occupational therapy students learn skills alongside other professionals within the School of Health Studies; some modules having shared learning sessions and by being based within the same establishment, allowing a wider resource of facilities; practice education forms an integral part of the learning process; it forms a vital component of the student’s academic and professional development; these practice placement modules take place in hospitals, clinics, GP practices, social and community services, mainly in the Yorkshire region; the aim of the course is to produce a skilled and competent graduate occupational therapist who, through a process of evaluation and reflection, can respond to the changing demands of health and social care provision.
