Compulsory modules include: Environmental assessment: land and water resources; soil and water conservation; sustainable development and environmental change; sustainable rural livelihoods analysis; environmental and rural resource economics; farming systems and agroecology; quantitative techniques, experimental design and data analysis; optional modules may include: environment and habitat assessment field class; tropical environments, ecology and land use; sustainable land management; soil fertility management in organic systems; trees: growth, management and environmental impacts; ecosystem management; and environmental systems and modelling; plus: MSc: 80 credit research project/thesis; diploma: 20-credit library-based dissertation.
