Includes 14-week research project presented as dissertation for MSc students; part 1: core course in biology, ecology and behaviour of parasites and vectors, epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and control of tropical diseases, principles of molecular biology and immunology, biomedical statistics; part 2: choice of 2 options from: molecular biology of parasites including gene cloning and sequencing, probes and PCR techniques; molecular biology of disease vectors; immunology of parasitic infections, including immunopathology; vector population biology and control.
