Minimum age normally 21 years and: good Honours degree or equivalent in: maritime; engineering; science; business or management related study and/or; a Class 1 Master Mariner or Chief Engineer certificate of competency and/or; an unclassified degree and significant maritime industrial experience may also be considered; non-UK applicants must also provide evidence of competence in English: 6.0 for IELTS within the previous 24 months; applicants who have studied and successfully achieved a UK degree within the previous 24 months are exempt from the requirements to produce evidence of competence in English.
