Entry requirements

You will be admitted to the course if you have one of the following:

  • a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Life Sciences/Higher Laboratory Education)
  • a Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or comparable disciplines)


If you have a different degree, you can take part in an admission assessment to prove that you have relevant Bachelors-level qualifications.  

Your English language proficiency is at least B2 on the CEFR or 7 on the IELTS.

HAN University of Applied Sciences has two campuses, located in Arnhem and Nijmegen.

Nijmegen is situated on the banks of the river Waal, in the east of The Netherlands, near to the German border, and is the oldest city in Holland - recently celebrating its 2,000th anniversary.
