YEAR 1
The first year of your course will lay the foundations for business in general, including global perspectives, but will also focus in on the specifics of the tourism and hospitality industries. You’ll learn how organisations are structured, how business economics work, and how hospitality and tourism operations function in particular. You’ll also explore the diverse skillsets needed to run a successful and profitable business.

YEAR 2
This year, you’ll examine what management means in the context of tourism and hospitality. Both are busy, fast-paced sectors which demand skilful leaders who can think on their feet; make well-informed decisions; get the best from diverse teams; understand and serve their customers impeccably; and do all of this within tight budgets. You’ll explore the legal frameworks within which you’ll operate, and learn how to deliver a successful project.

YEAR 3
Tourism and hospitality are fast-moving sectors demanding very hands-on expertise, and they could take you anywhere in the world. So this course offers the option to add in a year for work experience (whether in the UK or overseas) or to study at a university in Europe or beyond. Either choice is likely to have a hugely positive impact on your personal and professional development, and will add to your CV in a way which will be highly attractive to employers.

YEAR 4
Your final year focuses on more strategic and professional skillsets, including learning to consult to clients and the importance of sustainability. As with the rest of this course, you’ll root all of your learning in the global context. You’ll also undertake a major piece of work, with the freedom to choose between a work placement, business research, or a global business simulation. To help you approach that project, you’ll also deepen your personal research skills.
