HAN University of Applied Sciences has beautiful campuses spread over the two cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen, with modern buildings and lots of student facilities. Both cities have a variety of attractions to offer: from fashion to history, from museums to pubs, and from concert halls to nightclubs.

Most courses in economics and management, automotive, and engineering are taught at HAN’s Arnhem campus. The Arnhem campus is located in the middle of a large park and has beautiful green surroundings.
The Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Health and Social Studies are located in Nijmegen. Additionally, many courses in the life sciences domain are taught at the Nijmegen campus.

With a lively international environment and great facilities on campus, each student is assured to have life rich in experiences, whichever course they follow. 

Apart from on-campus experience, the two HAN campuses are located in beautiful rapidly growing cities. Today Nijmegen is widely known for its relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere with 5 city parks, theatres, restaurants and clubs. The city Arnhem is famed for its shopping. A wide choice of department stores, independent retailers and curiosity shops can be found for the discerning shopper.

Accommodation

HAN Housing Office facilitates student housing at locations in Arnhem and Nijmegen. Student residences offer the following types of accommodation:

  • Shared rooms, accommodation units with a private bedroom but shared facilities like a kitchen, shower and toilet.
  • Shared rooms, accommodation units with a shared bedroom and shared facilities.
  • Single rooms, are rooms that have a private kitchen, toilet and shower or private rooms with shared facilities.

Rental prices range from  €375 to €475 per month depending on the location, room size, and service charges. 

The HAN Housing Office offers students accommodation for the first academic year only. Higher years students can easily make their own arrangements for accommodation within both campus cities.

Career services

HAN University has an extensive worldwide network of companies and organizations. These partnerships offer students the opportunity to do a work placement or study abroad. During the entire academic programme at HAN, study career coaches are available to students to assist them in their study progress and help them find their way at HAN.

Location

HAN University of Applied Sciences has two campuses, located in Arnhem and Nijmegen.

Nijmegen is situated on the banks of the river Waal, in the east of The Netherlands, near to the German border, and is the oldest city in Holland - recently celebrating its 2,000th anniversary.

Arnhem, the capital of the province of Gelderland, is only 15km from Nijmegen and lies partially in the hills at the edge of National Park De Veluwe, a striking area of woods and heath. Arnhem is a ‘green’ city, where people take pleasure in living, working and recreation.
