Entry requirements

Secondary school diploma (Abitur, Fachhochschulreife or International Baccalaureate diploma (IB): at least 24 points, European Baccalaureate (EB), High School: GPA average at least 3.0; two A-levels (grades do not matter).

In addition, average knowledge of economics or mathematics (secondary school graduation level) is required.

Non-EU candidates will have to prove that they have a good command of the English language:

  • computer-based TOEFL score of 213 or higher;
  • internet-based TOEFL score of 80 of higher;
  • IELTS  score of 6.0 or higher.

The application process is followed by personal conversation (by phone or Skype) to discuss the results, to discuss your motivation and to ensure that you’ve made the right choice.

Location

Zuyd is based in Heerlen, Sittard, and Maastricht. The university has eleven locations in these cities. Its strategic location in Europe (on the border with Belgium and Germany) offers unique opportunities for students and businesses. Big cities like Aachen, Cologne, Brussels and Antwerp can all be reached within an hour. This facilitates getting an international internship at one of the numerous international businesses or doing an exchange program at one of its partner universities in the region.
