The course leads to a Teaching Qualification (Primary Education) enabling students to teach in any UK or EU primary school and in many other parts of the world; it prepares students to teach the full range of the primary curriculum from nursery to primary 7; it uses participative styles of learning and encourages personal development through self-help and enquiry skills; the programme is delivered by the Faculty of Education in partnership with local primary schools; ideas discussed in the Faculty are applied in the practical situation of a school, and theory and practice are brought together to allow students to reflect on both; the course develops skills enabling students to work cooperatively with colleagues and agencies involved in education.
