Students develop flight assimilation and air navigation skills in specifically designed subject modules and through the use of the University's fixed and moving base flight simulators; programme covers practical issues of aircraft in-flight performance and dynamic behaviour, using in-flight measurements as source material, and links these to principles taught in the classroom; aircraft design is treated in parallel with a full treatment of fundamental and advanced aeronautical science; students undertake experimental and project work throughout the programme, including a significant personal project in the final year.
