University of Salford, BA (Hons), Graphic Design
Level 1: Students will develop an understanding of graphic design and establish their creative, technical, analytical and design skills; students will develop design thinking and explore graphic design as a subject in depth. Level 2: Students will focus on the professional practice of design, including marketing and the worldwide context of visual communication; students can specialise in typography, promotion, illustration or new media, and focus shifts to graphic design in its professional and vocational context. Level 3: Self-directed study options gives the opportunity to specialise in a chosen area of design practice; students will also study modules including time-based media and creative technology.
