University of Salford, BA (Hons), Design Futures
Students will take a combination of core modules and, at levels 2 and 3, select from a range of optional modules to reflect their own interests. Level 1: Introduces the breadth of possibilities within the programme, examining design and creativity in a wide range of contexts - social, cultural and technological; projects are thought provoking, encouraging students to seek accessible solutions and present responses in a variety of formats. Level 2: Students will begin to determine their own direction and develop their individual interests through projects that allow flexibility in process, media and outcome. There is a placement module which is an invaluable opportunity to sample the world of work. Level 3: Students will develop a self-determined programme of study with support from staff; this is a major opportunity to tailor the work of the year into a career direction and build highly personal and transferable skills.
