University of Salford, BA (Hons), Design for Digital Media
Level 1: Concepts are introduced to familiarise students with industry standard software, as well as developing a strong visual awareness; design projects develop research and investigative skills as well as an understanding of creative and conceptual thinking. Level 2: Focus on interactive design, time based media, sound, and the moving image; students develop a firm understanding of the industry and knowledge of industry expectations; all students are encouraged to undertake a period of work placement. Level 3: Students direct their own learning in line with their individual career aspirations; undertaking major design projects and a dissertation, students are encouraged to explore the theory and practice of digital media design in relation to contemporary culture and technological advances.
