Applicants should normally provide satisfactory references; upper second class honours degree in an area of study appropriate to the project proposal: art history; fine art; media arts (including photography); heritage; architecture; cultural geography; rural development etc; or a degree of a comparable standard from a university or recognised degree awarding body in another country; application is by project proposal and a sample of critical writing; proposals for research that is practice-led must be accompanied by a portfolio of work that indicates the level of readiness to pursue the project; IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent is required for students for whom English is not a first language.
