To be eligible to apply for admission to the Juris Doctor program at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or expect to graduate during the current academic year. A solid professional background with several years of work experience better positions an MBA student for competitive internship and post-MBA opportunities. Therefore, it also strengthens an applicant's profile for admission. Equivalent of US Bachelor's Degree. Undergraduate grade point averages for admitted students normally range from 2.90 to 4.00, while the majority of students have averages above 3.00. Although cut-off scores are not implemented in the admissions process, it is expected the applicant will show a good deal of promise through their GMAT or GRE test scores. GMAT scores typically range from the mid-500s through the upper-700s. iBT TOEFL: Total-100, Speaking-22, Listening -24, Reading -26, Writing -24. OR IELTS: Total-7, Speaking-6.5, Listening -7, Reading -7, Writing -7.
