The School of Music at University of Liverpool’s School of the Arts is one of the most innovative departments in the country. The approach to study all kinds of music is imaginative and forward-looking, and brings together students from all kinds of musical backgrounds. At Liverpool, students benefit from expert teaching in many fields of music and can tailor their studies to focus on areas of interest.
Across the School, the research activity has a strong interdisciplinary nature and is concentrated in three cross-cutting areas:

The MMus programme is for students who would like to extend their existing knowledge and skills with advanced academic and/or professional training in Music and Musicology.
