A supply chain can be seen as a network of organisations working together to carry out customer orders. It is a flow of materials, information and services. The programme in Groningen is unique in that it tackles the full range of the supply chain within all types of organisations (production, distribution and services). You will focus on the design and coordination of supply chains, and the planning and control of supply chain operations. All aligned with the latest insights and trends, using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The programme has professionals from industry involved and your teachers have a close relationship to SCM topics in both science and practice. Graduates are able to define, diagnose and analyse supply chain decision problems, and propose and evaluate effective solutions. With a mixture of rigorous academic methods and practical applicability, graduates have learned to develop supply chain theories, methods and best practices. Through the selection of elective courses you can focus on supply chains in specific contexts, for example in healthcare logistics or process industry.
