Education All years: Aspects of contemporary education; children as learners; policy and practice in education: from Baker to Blunkett; language and learning in education; equity in education; evaluation and achievement in education; plus special educational needs, children and schools; or pastoral care and personal and social education; or education option; research development and change in education; education: a negotiated independent study; investigating education: an enquiry project; or education option (continued from level 2). Spanish All years: entry levels for study on the language courses: course 1 is for absolute beginners; course 2 is for those students who can communicate in the language at rusty GCSE level or equivalent; course 3 is for those students who have achieved A-level competence or equivalent but who need to improve their knowledge of structures and consolidate their vocabulary; depending on the structure of the degree programme, students can take up to 6 consecutive language courses throughout their degree; it is possible to study more than 1 foreign language, but not normally at the same time.

The university’s campuses in south east London and Kent all offer modern, hi-tech facilities within magnificent and historic settings. The largest campus is centred on the Old Royal Naval College in Royal Greenwich, at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the banks of the River Thames and next to Greenwich Royal Park. The Avery Hill Campus in Eltham enjoys a parkland setting, and the Medway Campus features redbrick Edwardian buildings in Chatham Maritime, Kent. All sites are served by excellent rail and bus links, and an inter-campus bus service.
