The requirement of the relevancy of previous studies is fulfilled with the following verification: a) Academic achievement in Economics and/ or Agricultural Economics and/or Econometrics totalling at least 60 credits (as measured for a 180 ECTS bachelor's programme. For any other programme types at least one third of overall courses taken), including courses in Economic Theory, Agricultural Economics, and Development Economics totalling at least 30 credits altogether. b) Academic achievement in Mathematics or Statistics or Econometrics (in addition to the courses possibly counted towards the requirement under a) ) totalling at least 12 credits . An applicant is especially suited for this programme of study with an economic profile upon fulfilling the following conditions: a) A Bachelor's degree in Economics or comparable degree with an overall grade of at least 3.0 (in the German grading system). If you have not completed your degree at the time of application, the current average score will be calculated. In order to do this, you must provide evidence that you have completed at least 150 ECTS (83% of the programme) at the time of application. and b) if the verifiable academic achievement in in Economic Theory, Agricultural Economics, and Development Economics totalling 30 credits (see above) include: at least 18 credits from modules with intermediate or high scientific level. For courses to be considered intermediate or advanced, the course content must clearly go beyond introductory or basic concepts. TOEFL: a) Internet-based Test: "Test of English as a Foreign Language" (new internet based TOEFL): at least 90 points b) Paper-based Test: "Test of English as a Foreign Language" (TOEFL PBT): at least 577 points.
