The course gives students a thorough introduction to design fundamentals then shows them how to develop alternatives, and how to question, evaluate, re-evaluate, test and navigate their solutions; students make use of journals, sketchbooks and worksheets and get to think out loud on paper; participants are introduced to designers from the past, present and future; they learn how to draw anything and everything and become passionate about paper, colour and type; students discuss books, films, exhibitions, the internet, music and cake.
