This programme of study is focussed on generating creative ideas for a range of challenging briefs; in the 1st 2 years, students are taught how to develop their visual language skills in problem solving, through creative thinking and exploring the use of words and image; there is a commitment to intellectually stimulating assignments where students generate ideas for a wide range of graphic design applications covering: corporate identity; branding; advertising; packaging; direct mail; magazines; brochures; editorial; many other forms of print based media; computer sessions support studio work by developing visuals to a professionally high standard; contextual studies informs students of the most influential historical work and the best contemporary design practice; application deadline: March 2010.
