Entry requirements

TOEFL IBT 90, ILETS 6,5. A minimum admission average of 70% or equivalent on a 50% pass scale is required for admission to all undergraduate programs.Students planning to go into physics or applied science (and some other programs) are required to take PHYS 102, or PHYS 108 plus PHYS 109, in addition to PHYS 101 or 107. PHYS 102 has PHYS 101 or 107 as prerequisite, while PHYS 108 requires either PHYS 107, or PHYS 101 with an A standing. Admission into second-year Honours Physics generally requires PHYS 107, 108, 109, and a clear first-year pass with either overall second-class standing in 30 credits or at least 68% in each of PHYS 107, 108, 109, and MATH 100, 101 (120, 121).

Location

UBC’s two main campuses are situated in Vancouver and in Kelowna in the Okanagan Valley. Also in Vancouver, UBC Robson Square is a vibrant learning centre in the heart of downtown, the UBC Learning Exchange is a community engagement initiative based in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and UBC’s Centre for Digital Media at the Great Northern Way Campus is located in Mount Pleasant.
