Entry requirements

TOEFL IBT 90, ILETS 6,5. A minimum admission average of 70% or equivalent on a 50% pass scale is required for admission to all undergraduate programs.BIOL 112, 121 and 140 are prerequisites to many BIOL courses. These courses are required for the major and honours specializations in biology. Students with BIOL 11 or 12 may take BIOL 121. If they have one of BIOL 11 or 12 plus one of CHEM 12 or 111 they may take BIOL 112. Students lacking BIOL 11 and 12 must complete BIOL 111 before taking either BIOL 112 or 121.Progress of continuing biology students will be reviewed at the end of each academic year. Students with satisfactory standing will be promoted.

Location

UBC’s two main campuses are situated in Vancouver and in Kelowna in the Okanagan Valley. Also in Vancouver, UBC Robson Square is a vibrant learning centre in the heart of downtown, the UBC Learning Exchange is a community engagement initiative based in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and UBC’s Centre for Digital Media at the Great Northern Way Campus is located in Mount Pleasant. UBC also provides clinical education to Faculty of Medicine students at 75 health care facilities across British Columbia.
