The course has a strong emphasis on best practices in applying current and emerging technologies in the development of complex software systems; it focuses on architectures of complex software systems, and planning and managing the development of such systems; individual modules can be studied by IT professionals on a stand-alone basis as continuing professional development; each module is organised into a period of directed study, followed by an intensive taught period (1-week); the course comprises workshops, seminars, lectures and group exercises, culminating in a period of consolidation and coursework-based assessment.
