The course increases the competence and clinical knowledge of community pharmacists through a combination of theory and structured practice experience; the PGDip requires completion of 6 modules and attendance at 3 residential weekends; the MSc requires a study of research methodology and a dissertation carried out at the community pharmacy base; each diploma module requires 100 hours of formal study and practical work, plus an equivalent time for guided study.
