This course is 50 per cent practice and 50 per cent theory. Clinical experience is undertaken early in the course and focuses on the chosen specialism - adult, child or mental health nursing, culminating in professional registration, it offers choice, flexibility and shared learning with other health disciplines in the Faculty of Health and Brighton and Sussex Medical School; a strong commitment to clinical practice produces competent practitioners who are responsive to changing client needs in a variety of settings; the flexible approach develops a lifelong commitment to personal and professional growth; the structure encourages the sharing of learning experiences within a community of undergraduates studying health-related courses; option modules allow deeper exploration of areas of specific professional interest and include an international placement.
