Year 1: Introduces and tests working methods as method of generating ideas and seeking appropriate solutions; observational and interpretative drawing play an important role in acquiring visual sensibility. Year 2: students continue to expand their visual awareness through set project briefs while discovering a greater sense of independence through self-initiated projects; students have the opportunity to explore the written word, the link with type and image and narrative structures. Year 3: students have progressed to a programme of their own projects that are inspired by individual needs and interests; tutorial advice guides them towards discovering professional applications for their work and an awareness of their commercial potential.
