Through emphasis on sound working methods and individual ways of thinking, students on this course are encouraged to solve visual problems creatively; projects and self-initiated study create an understanding of professional expectations as well as challenging preconceptions of the subject and expand the illustrator's visual vocabulary; areas of study include: studio-based image-making project briefs; life drawing; printmaking; photography; book arts; computing for print; computing for web; letterpress; professional practice programme; cultural and critical studies; extension studies.
